About me
Birth and Postpartum Support
Pregnancy often brings a mix of anticipation, questions, and moments of uncertainty. Many families arrive here looking not just for information, but for steadier guidance and a clearer way to prepare for what lies ahead.
Our time together centers on preparation that feels grounded and integrated—rooted in thoughtful education, practical tools, and a steady, familiar presence. This includes bringing partners into the process, walking through decisions as they arise, and creating space for honest questions, concerns that naturally arise, and the quieter worries that often go unspoken.
I offer one comprehensive birth and postpartum package designed to carry you through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period with continuity and flexibility. Rather than treating these as separate stages, preparation, hands-on care, and postpartum integration are woven together as parts of a single, connected experience.

Prenatal Preparation
There’s no single right way to arrive at birth feeling “ready”—this work meets you where you are and builds from there but, preparation is a central part of the process. Prenatal visits include substantial childbirth education, tools, and resources intended to support meaningful preparation beyond our time together. I provide structure, guidance, and information to help you understand your options and build practical skills, but the depth of our sessions depends on how much you engage with that material outside of visits. My role is to offer the framework and structure; how that preparation is integrated shapes how much we’re able to build on it during labor and birth. Together, we collaborate to build skills, understanding, and confidence over time.
The three prenatal visits include in-depth childbirth education focused on understanding labor physiology, anticipating common decision points, and developing practical coping strategies that support adaptability and informed participation throughout labor.
Topics commonly include:
-
Labor physiology and what to expect as labor progresses
-
Comfort measures and coping strategies
-
Movement, positioning, and Spinning Babies–informed techniques
-
Preparing the body for birth
-
Natural induction methods
-
Partner roles and practical support skills
-
Decision-making and communication with care providers
-
Pain management options
-
Risks and benefits of common medical interventions
-
Preparing for postpartum needs and recovery
Birth Support
On-call availability begins at 37 weeks and continues through 42 weeks. (I will still be available for you if your labor happens to fall outside of this window, this is just the general timeframe most people are delivering!)
During early labor, support is provided by phone and text. This allows for ongoing check-ins, guidance around rest, timing, position changes, comfort strategies, and decision-making at home or hospital, while preserving energy and helping families stay oriented as labor unfolds. Once labor becomes active, I provide continuous, in-person support through active labor, birth, and the hour after delivery as you and your baby settle. Before I leave, I also support the early initiation of feeding, helping families work toward a first latch when possible.
Care during labor includes hands-on comfort measures such as positioning support, counterpressure, massage, and guidance with movement, as well as pacing, breathing, rest, hydration, and nourishment. I help partners participate effectively, track labor patterns, and support communication with care providers and decision-making as situations arise. At the family’s request, I’m also happy to take photos at any point using their phone or camera.
I also bring a well-stocked birth bag with comfort measures and coping tools that I use regularly in labor. Tools are offered thoughtfully and selectively, based on how labor is progressing and what feels supportive in the moment. Support is adjusted moment by moment in response to what’s happening
(In the rare event that I am unavailable, a trusted backup doula is arranged to ensure continuity of care.)
Postpartum Follow-Up
The 1 hour virtual postpartum follow-up visit offers space to review the birth experience, address immediate questions, and assess early recovery and adjustment. We check in on physical recovery, feeding and infant care logistics, emotional well-being, and day-to-day needs, and identify next steps or additional resources if helpful. The focus is on practical support, clarification, and helping families feel oriented as they settle into the early postpartum period.

Flexible Support Visits
This package includes five flexible support visits, each lasting up to four hours for a total of 20 hours of extra support. These visits may be used before or after birth, depending on what will be most supportive for your family. Selections are made prior to signing to ensure clarity around planning and availability from the options below.

Pricing & Insurance
Pricing is discussed during the consultation.
Many insurance plans now offer doula benefits through reimbursement or approved doula programs. Coverage, reimbursement amounts, and documentation requirements vary by plan.
I am a Carrot-approved doula and can provide detailed receipts or documentation for Carrot and other insurance plans as needed. Clients are responsible for confirming coverage and reimbursement eligibility directly with their insurance provider.
I do work with Kaiser Permanente clients; however, I am not contracted with Kaiser’s doula program. Kaiser clients are welcome to work with me on a private-pay basis and would be responsible for payment out of pocket.
